Week Three The Decisions on Magdalena Yesil In this last week, we focused particularly a lot on a decision that Magdalena Yesil had to make between choosing jobs. Without getting too deep into the story I learned that it is important to make decisions based on where you might see yourself in the future. In the story, she has two good job options presented to her and she has to decide between one or the other. I thought that she should turn down the higher-paying job to pursue the things that she already enjoyed doing. I think that this story can be interpreted in multiple different ways. I came to my conclusion because I like to envision myself making a similar decision myself. Something that I want to start considering in my decision-making process is whether will it still make me happy five years from now. Week Two of my Entrepreneurship Journey First things first I have decided to switch to Blogger.com for my blogs. It seems to be a lot more user-friendly. This week I learned a lot about myself by creating a bucket list of 50 items. I tried to imagine what it would be like if I were to die and what it was that I truly wanted to do in my life before that moment came. I strongly do not like writing in a journal but it was my top item on my bucket list. Not to just write in a journal but to create a journal that I am comfortable showing to my family. A journal that expresses accomplishments I have made and fun family memories. I want to be an influence for good and an example to others. Participating in this activity helped me to think more about the important goals that I have in my life rather than the more temporal goals. The Beginning of the Journey W1 Week 1 At the beginning of this course as I studied “The start up of you” I pondered a couple questions that were prompted. What is my calling in life?, How will I measure success?, and what is meaningful to me? For me personally I have always wanted to be in a position in business where I could give someone else opportunities to learn more skills. I feel like I have been helped a lot in my life and that my calling in life is to do the same to others. I like to measure my success by making realistic goals and trying to achieve them. Finally for the last question what is meaningful to me. I think that anything no matter how small that contributes to my goals that I have made is meaningful to me.
