Week 14 Final blog
If I had one final lecture to share with a group of students on what I learned from this course I would mention a couple of different things. The first one is finding your calling in life. Although it sounds like it is a straight path and there is only one option finding your calling is very similar to finding your passion and then using that to help others. I would also tell them not to chase the money but rather chase after the things that they enjoy doing. Lastly, I would tell them to make a plan to help have a healthy work-life balance and set boundaries for that plan.
The last bit of advice I would give someone about to start their entrepreneurial journey would be to look at challenges as opportunities. This is because the challenges that they will face are inevitable but those challenges will allow them to grow and develop better plans. It is when we are in our hardest challenges that we grow the most. Some challenges may even present new business ideas that you could use to help others get out of the same problem. I would also tell them to never stop innovation and investing in the product and the business. That way they will continue to grow and become better rather than becoming stuck.
If I were to give them some words of caution I would tell them to not get involved in too much at once. I would then explain how it is easy to become too busy and be so spread out that nothing will be productive. the same goes for the product itself. If your product is too complex and broad it will be harder to launch and convince others to purchase. It is usually the small and simple business ideas that are just a little different that grow the fastest.
